Customised (Butchered or upgraded) guitars?

Postby colonel69 » Sat Jul 31, 2010 12:23 am

I have 3 standard Telecasters but this is my favourite.

It started off as a Mexican Fender Telecaster but I fixed it, all that's left of it is the neck :D ...

'90s maple mexican telecaster neck, I sold the body on ebay and got 25 quid, I wanted more  .
Mahogany tele body made by yours truly, (ME :) ) routed out freehand and I still have all my fingers ;)
Gotoh split pole tuners
Bareknuckle piledrivers neck and Bridge
CTS pots

It's my number one gig guitar and the bare knuckle pickups are the dogs nags.

What have yous customised?

I took an Alpine White Epi Les Paul Custom and vintaged it (removed the lacquer and stripped off some of the paint, think along the lines of James Hetfield's "Truckster" guitar,) added EMG pickups, Gotoh Magnum locking yuners and replaced all the inner electrics with Switchraft stuff, and its a ***** WEAPON!!
